AI agent setup wizard: build your agent from your website

AI agent setup in Mujib happens in the setup wizard: you type your business name and website, Mujib reads its public pages and proposes facts for you to review and approve, then you test the agent, switch it on and connect your channels. It has five stages, and the agent answers no customer until you switch it on.

The wizard opens by itself after you create your account, and works on a phone and on a computer. The account owner or an admin goes through it. Its top bar has a button to save your draft and come back later, a button for a short video tour of the dashboard, and a button to switch between Arabic and English.

The wizard has five stages, shown as a progress line at the top on a phone, and as a list on the side on wide screens.

StageWhat you do there
First: your businessType your business name and your website address if you have one, then ask Mujib to learn about your business
Second: what Mujib understoodComplete the essentials, approve or reject the proposed facts, and upload your files
Third: try the agentAsk it what your customers would ask, correct it, then approve a reply
Fourth: review and switch onSee what the agent will do and what is missing, then save and switch it on
Fifth: connect your channelsConnect WhatsApp, Messenger or Instagram, or leave it for later

You can go back to any earlier stage with the back button at the bottom of the page, or by tapping its name in the side list.

What does the wizard read from my website?

Section titled “What does the wizard read from my website?”

The wizard reads your website’s public pages, meaning what your customers see without signing in, and moves between them through the site’s own links. It then proposes facts grouped into categories, including:

  • prices and products, and services;
  • opening hours, and branches and addresses;
  • contact details, policies and terms, and common questions.

Mujib proposes only what it found written on your website, and the agent uses none of it until you approve it. Reading a whole website usually takes one to three minutes; you can reload or close the page, and the read keeps going, with the result waiting when you come back.

The wizard cannot read:

  • Sign-in pages: enter the public website your customers see.
  • Facebook and Instagram pages: they ask for a sign-in. Describe your business instead, and connect the page as a channel after setup.
  • A website with no readable text: fill in the details yourself.

When a read fails, the wizard tells you why, with a button to read again when that can help, and a button to carry on without the website.

There are four essentials, the things nearly every customer asks about, and the agent cannot be switched on until they are complete:

EssentialWhat you enter
ServicesA clear description of what you offer, with prices if they are fixed. Mujib does not guess prices
Business modelHow customers work with you: questions and inquiries, product orders, appointments, or subscriptions and visits
Opening hoursEach day’s hours, closed days and the time zone, or open around the clock, or by appointment only
LocationA clear address where you receive customers, or the fact that you serve online only

For the location you can also paste your Google Maps link, so the agent sends your location to customers as a map pin instead of a written address.

If one of the essentials is not ready, defer it. A deferred item does not stop you from testing the agent, but it is required before switching on, and the wizard reminds you of it.

How do I review the proposed facts and add my files?

Section titled “How do I review the proposed facts and add my files?”

Each proposed fact shows as a question and an answer under its category, and you make one of three decisions on it: approve it as it is, edit it and then approve it, or reject it.

  1. Go through each fact, paying special attention to prices and hours.
  2. Approve what is right, fix what is incomplete, and reject what does not concern your customers or has changed.
  3. Add any fact or repeated customer question the agent should know that did not show up. You can also approve or reject a whole category at once.
  4. Upload files for the agent to learn from if you like: PDF, Word, Excel, CSV or a text file. A scanned file with no text cannot be read; upload a text version of it.

You cannot move on while a fact is still waiting for your decision, and if the approved facts go over the allowed size, the wizard asks you to shorten them. If a file could not be read, see File not read.

In the third stage you prepare the agent from the facts you approved, then ask it what your customers would ask, in a private chat that reaches nobody. You cannot move past this stage until you approve at least one reply from the latest version of your information. See Test the agent.

In the same stage you give the agent its personal touch: the name it introduces itself with, its conversation style, its Arabic dialect, and voice replies to WhatsApp voice messages if you want them.

In the fourth stage the wizard shows what the agent will be able to do once it is on: answer about your business, book appointments if your business takes bookings, send your location, and how it tells you when it hands a customer over. It also asks for an optional alert number: a number other than your business number, which gets a WhatsApp message with the customer’s name and number on every handoff. Check this number carefully: if it is wrong, your customers’ details go to a stranger.

After you save and switch on, the wizard moves on to connecting channels. It starts with WhatsApp and shows Messenger and Instagram beside it, and you can leave the connection for later and go to your dashboard. See Connect WhatsApp and Connect Instagram and Messenger.

Can I run the wizard again after switching on?

Section titled “Can I run the wizard again after switching on?”

Yes, through another version of the setup guide that updates your current agent rather than creating a new one. Open it from Settings with Replay the setup guide, or from Agent Studio with Build from a description of your business.

That version has no test conversation: the private test is available only while you prepare your first agent. To change the agent’s knowledge after switching on, use the knowledge base and documents directly.

Frequently asked questions

What if I have no website?

Carry on without reading a website, write your services, hours and address in the essentials, and upload your files if you have any. Mujib builds the agent from all of that.

Does the wizard read my Facebook or Instagram page?

No, because those pages ask for a sign-in. Describe your business instead, then connect the page as a channel once setup is done.

Does the wizard publish anything or message my customers?

No. Nothing is published, Mujib talks to none of your customers during setup, and the agent answers nobody until you switch it on.

Where is my draft kept if I close the page?

On the device you are using. Come back to the wizard on that device and your information, your choices and your test conversation are as you left them.

Can my staff go through the wizard?

No. The wizard is for the account owner or an admin only.
