## What is a WhatsApp click-to-chat link?

A click-to-chat link is a WhatsApp feature: when a customer taps it, WhatsApp opens a chat with your number, with your ready-made message already typed, so all they do is press send.

The link format WhatsApp documents:

- The number is complete and international: the country code, then the number, with no `+`, no leading zero of the local number, and no spaces, dashes or brackets.
- The ready-made message comes after `?text=`, URL-encoded. The tool above does that for you, in any language.

## How do I create a WhatsApp link for my number?

Use the tool at the top of this page: it puts the number in the right format by itself.

1. Pick the country, then type the number the way you usually do, for example `0790000000`. The tool drops the zero and adds the country code.
