# Shopify WhatsApp and WooCommerce integration for the agent's menu

> Mujib's Shopify WhatsApp and WooCommerce integration turns your products and prices into the agent's menu, and creates every order you accept in your store.

Mujib's Shopify WhatsApp integration, like its WooCommerce one, turns your products and prices into the agent's menu, so the agent offers them to your customers on WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger and takes their orders. An order you accept is created in your store as an ordinary order waiting for payment, which you fulfil with your usual tools.

The stores section of the **Integrations** page shows only for a business that takes orders. How the agent takes orders and when you accept them: [Orders and menu](https://docs.mujib.ai/en/features/orders-menu/).

## How do my store's products become the agent's menu?

Press **Update the menu now** on the store's card after connecting, and Mujib brings the available products and their prices into **Menu & products**.

- Each product becomes a menu item with its name, price and description, and each of its variants, such as a colour or a size, becomes an item of its own.
- Items go into a section named after the product type in Shopify or the product's first category in WooCommerce; without one, into a section named after the store.
- A product that is sold out and cannot be sold when out of stock shows on the menu as unavailable.
- Each update reads up to 500 items.
- From Shopify it takes active products, and from WooCommerce published ones. WooCommerce grouped and external products are left out, because they cannot be ordered directly.

When the update finishes, a message counts the new items, the changed ones, the ones switched off because they left the store, and the ones not added.

## What happens when I update the menu again?

Mujib updates the same items instead of duplicating them, because it remembers which product became which item.

- Each item's name, price, description and availability follow the store.
- A product removed from the store is switched off on the menu, not deleted, so the agent stops offering it. This happens when Mujib reads the whole store, meaning its items do not go over the limit.
- Your manual menu edits last until the next update, after which the store is the reference again.
- An item you deleted from the menu comes back as a new item on the next update, as long as the product is still in the store.

The menu does not update on its own: press **Update the menu now** whenever you change prices or products in your store.

## How does the agent's order reach my store?

When you accept the order in Mujib, or it is accepted automatically, Mujib creates it in your store with the items and the price the customer was told.

| | Shopify | WooCommerce |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Order status | Pending, with no receipt sent to the customer | Pending payment |
| Customer details | Name, number and address in the order's attributes | Name and number in billing, address in shipping |
| Items | An item from the store with no extra choices as its product; anything else as a line at the agreed price | An item from the store as its product at the agreed price; anything else as a fee at its price |
| Delivery | The delivery fee as a shipping line | The delivery fee as a shipping line |
| Mujib's order number | In the order note, with the `mujib` tag | In the customer note on the order |

- The customer's choices and notes on each item are written with the item in the order.
- If you cancel the order in Mujib, it is cancelled in the store too.
- The store's currency must be your business currency in Mujib, or you see **The store's currency differs from your Mujib currency — make them the same and try again**

> **An order whose arrival is unknown**
>
> If the connection to the store drops while an order is being created, Mujib does not send it again, so it cannot land twice, and **Latest sends** shows it as Not delivered. Check your store before entering it yourself.
## How do I connect Shopify to Mujib?

You create an app named Mujib from your store's admin, then paste **Store address** and the app's ID and secret into Mujib.

1. In Shopify admin, open **Settings**, then **Apps**, then **Develop apps**, press **Build apps in Dev Dashboard**, and create an app named Mujib.
2. In the app's version (**Versions**), pick the scopes `read_products` and `write_orders`, then **Release** it.
3. Install the app on your store (**Install app**).
4. From the app's settings, copy the `Client ID` and the `Client secret`.
5. In Mujib, open the Shopify card, enter **Store address** as `yourstore.myshopify.com`, paste the ID and secret, then press **Connect**.
6. Press **Update the menu now** to build the agent's menu from your products.

Have an older app you made in the store admin, with a token starting with `shpat_`? Press **I have an older app with a shpat_ token**, check it has the `read_products` and `write_orders` scopes, and paste its token instead of the ID and secret.

If you see **The app is not installed on this store — install it from the Dev Dashboard and try again**, install the app on this store and try again.

## How do I connect WooCommerce to Mujib?

You create a REST API key with read and write access in WordPress, and paste it into Mujib with your store's address.

1. In WordPress admin, open **WooCommerce**, then **Settings**, then **Advanced**, then **REST API**, and press **Add key**.
2. Enter Mujib as the description, choose **Read/Write** permissions, and press **Generate API key**.
3. Copy the `Consumer key`, starting with `ck_`, and the `Consumer secret`, starting with `cs_`; they are not shown again.
4. In Mujib, open the WooCommerce card, enter **Store address** starting with `https://`, paste both keys, then press **Connect**.
5. Press **Update the menu now** to build the agent's menu from your products.

## What happens when I disconnect the store?

New orders stop reaching the store, and the menu items that came from it stay as they are; you can edit them in **Menu & products**.

If you connect the same store again, Mujib carries on with the same items on the next update, so nothing is duplicated. To get a sheet row for every order as well, add [Google Sheets](https://docs.mujib.ai/en/integrations/google-sheets/).

## Frequently asked questions

### Does the menu update by itself when I change a price in the store?

No. Press **Update the menu now** on the store's card after any change, and Mujib brings in the current products and prices.

### Does the customer pay, or get a receipt from the store?

No. The order is created in the store waiting for payment, and Shopify sends the customer no receipt. You handle payment and fulfilment with your store's usual tools.

### What happens if I cancel the order in Mujib?

It is cancelled in the store too. In Shopify the order stays as it is if the store had already cancelled or fulfilled it.

### Can I connect Shopify and WooCommerce together?

Each has its own card, but connecting one store is better, because every accepted order reaches every connected store.

### Why don't I see the stores section on the Integrations page?

It shows only for a business that takes orders. In **Settings**, under **How does your business work?**, choose **Orders** first.
