# How billing works in Mujib, trial, subscription and conversations

> Billing in Mujib is monthly and counts conversations, not messages. Learn the free trial, subscribing, paying by CliQ, and what happens when they run out.

Billing in Mujib is monthly and counts conversations, not messages: you start with a free trial or subscribe directly, and every plan has a conversation allowance that renews each cycle. You pay by CliQ transfer with a reference, and nothing is ever taken from you automatically. Plans and prices are on the [pricing page](https://mujib.ai/pricing).

You manage your subscription from **Billing**, which only the owner and admins can open. It has three tabs: **Overview**, **Plans** and **Payment history**.

## How do I start: a free trial or a direct subscription?

Once your account exists, Mujib asks **How do you want to start?**, and the agent answers nobody until you choose, set it up and connect a channel.

| Choice | How it works |
| --- | --- |
| **Try it free** | A free trial with no card, with its own conversation allowance. Its days start from the agent's first real reply to a customer, not from sign-up, and it still has an end date if the agent never replies to anyone |
| **Subscribe directly** | The plan starts today, with a deadline to pay the first month. Until your payment arrives, the agent answers a limited number of conversations; the first payment opens the whole plan |

During the trial, **Billing** shows when it ends, or that it is waiting for the agent's first reply to start, and an email reaches you before it ends. If it ends without a subscription, the agent hands new customers to your team with a fixed reply, open conversations carry on, and nothing is deleted.

## How do I subscribe and pay?

You pick your plan on the **Plans** tab, then pay the first month by CliQ transfer with the reference you are shown.

1. Open **Billing**, then the **Plans** tab.
2. Press **Subscribe to this plan** under the plan you want, then **Subscribe**. The plan is on at once.
3. On the **Overview** tab, the payment details appear: the **Amount (JOD)** and the **Reference — write it in the transfer's note**, each with a **Copy** button.
4. Transfer the amount by CliQ from your banking app to the CliQ alias the Mujib team gives you, and write the reference in the transfer's note.
5. The Mujib team confirms the payment; it then appears under **Payment history** and an email confirms it.

- The CliQ **Alias** shows in the payment details when it is available. When it does not, the page says: Mujib's team will contact you with the CliQ alias.
- The **Last day to pay** is shown on the page, and an email reaches you before it. If it passes unpaid, the agent stops taking new customers until you pay, then comes back by itself once the payment is confirmed.
- Mujib keeps no card and takes no money from you automatically.

## Which conversations count against the allowance?

A conversation is every message with one person on one channel during a full day from their first message. If they come back after that, it counts as a new conversation.

- Messages inside a conversation are unlimited, within the fair use set out in the terms.
- A conversation counts whether the agent, your team or nobody answers it.
- A conversation the spam detector keeps paused does not count.
- The **Overview** tab shows how much of this cycle's allowance you have used, when it renews, and how long it should last at your current pace.

## What happens when the conversation allowance runs out?

When your allowance runs out, the agent stops answering new customers and hands them to your team to answer; open conversations carry on to the end of their day.

1. **Close to the end:** the page shows **You're close to this month's conversation limit**, and a notification reaches your phone if you turned notifications on.
2. **When the month's allowance is used:** the agent carries on with a **Free grace**, once per cycle, and you see how much of it is left.
3. **After the grace:** every new customer is **Out of allowance**. The agent hands them to your team with a notification that cannot be turned off, and they get one fixed message telling them their message arrived.
4. **The agent comes back:** at the next cycle's renewal, or as soon as you add conversations or upgrade.

You write the fixed message, or switch it off, in the **When the conversations run out** panel on the **Overview** tab; left empty, the standard text is sent. Nothing is added to your bill for extra conversations without your consent.

## How do I add conversations or upgrade?

Press **Add conversations** on the **Overview** tab and pick what suits you. A pack, an add-on or an upgrade is on as soon as you order it, and you pay it by CliQ within the deadline shown.

| Option | How it works |
| --- | --- |
| A conversation pack | Added once, and used after the month's allowance and the grace |
| A monthly add-on | Added to your allowance every cycle until you cancel it with **Stop from next cycle** |
| **Auto-continue** | The agent carries on after your packs at a price per conversation, up to a monthly cap you set, billed at the end of the month |
| A plan upgrade | A new cycle starts today, and the days left in your current cycle are credited |

- Only one order can stay unpaid at a time: pay it before ordering another.
- Adding conversations is not available during a trial, before your first payment, or while a payment is late. On a trial, choose a plan from the **Plans** tab.
- To move to a smaller plan, contact the Mujib team. A smaller plan allows fewer WhatsApp numbers and team members, and whatever goes beyond them stops working. Some plans do not include Messenger and Instagram, campaigns or team accounts.

## When does the subscription renew?

The billing cycle is monthly and starts on the date of your first confirmed payment. The conversation allowance renews on the same day of every cycle, and the next renewal date shows under the conversations meter.

- Every confirmed payment appears under **Payment history** with its date, amount, method and status.
- The **Overview** tab also shows how many WhatsApp numbers and team members you use out of what your plan allows.
- If your subscription runs through an agency, **Billing** shows the agency's terms instead of the plans, and the agency is the one that raises your allowance. See [Agencies](https://docs.mujib.ai/en/partners/agencies/).

## How do I stop my subscription?

Write to the Mujib team from the **Email us and we'll cancel it** link at the bottom of the **Overview** tab, and they stop it for you.

A trial ending or a late payment deletes none of your data. If you want a copy before you stop your subscription, see [Export data](https://docs.mujib.ai/en/account/data-export/).

## Frequently asked questions

### What happens when my conversation allowance runs out?

The agent stops answering new customers and hands them to your team with a notification, and each new customer gets one fixed message. Open conversations carry on, and the agent answers again at renewal or when you add conversations or upgrade.

### Does Mujib charge my card automatically?

No. Mujib keeps no card and takes no money automatically; every payment is a CliQ transfer you make yourself, with its reference.

### Is my data deleted when the trial ends or a payment is late?

No. Your settings, conversations and information stay saved, and the agent answers new customers again as soon as you subscribe or your payment is confirmed.

### Are messages counted, or conversations?

Conversations. Messages inside one conversation are unlimited within fair use, and a conversation counts whether the agent or your team answers it.

### Where are the plan prices?

Plans, their prices and what they include are on the pricing page at https://mujib.ai/pricing.
